Apparently, half of the known Blogosphere thinks so.
I have noticed a huge increase in amount of daily traffic to my obscure little blog and I can pin my good fortunes down to two words, PALIN and IDIOT. Obviously, since Sarah Palin is probably the most googled female on the planet these days, that little fact steers a ton of folks towards some of my many posts about Sarah Palin. That, coupled with the very title of my blog itself, THE IDIOT SPEAKETH, is also drawing them in by the hundreds as it seems the most popular search item that leads folks to my blog is “SARAH PALIN IS AN IDIOT”.
I myself have no problem with the woman at all aside from her total lack of foreign policy experience. Obviously, she is not an Idiot as evidenced by the fact that she skyrocketed from City Council of a small town to Governor of the State of Alaska in less than 10 years. Not many Idiots could do that. I am an Idiot. I could never accomplish such a feat. She apparently has started quite a positive track record in Alaska in less than two years on the job and has the highest approval ratings of any Governor in that state’s history. If she is an Idiot, what does that make the citizens of Alaska? I might be stepping out on a limb, but I would bet that 99% of people who type “SARAH PALIN IS AN IDIOT” into a search box, had never heard of the woman before last week. Again, I am an admitted Idiot, and I had never heard of her.
People have a multitude of reasons why they think that Sarah Palin is not qualified to be the next Vice-President of the United States of America. Keep in mind a few things though. Being chosen for Vice-President does not start out with prospective candidates answering a “Help Wanted” sign in the Washington Post. These candidates are filtered out by the Presidential candidates own people. They do all the interviewing, the digging, the collecting of records, the verification of facts and documents, and all the other dirty work in order to find a short list of acceptable candidates for the nominee to choose from. Obviously, it was Sen. McCain’s Vice-Presidential search committee members that found Sarah Palin and took the steps necessary to present her as one of the finalists to John McCain.
John McCain then chose Sarah Palin to be his running mate.
If you were in her shoes, and John McCain calls you and offers you the second most powerful position in the free world, do you turn him down?
Many people and some of the media say YES because of matters regarding her lack of experience, her Down Syndrome baby, and her daughter’s pregnancy issues.
But, she did what 99% of politicians in the same boat would have done, she said yes.
If the millions of voters out there who laughed at Joe Biden being selected by Obama have a problem, it should be with Obama himself. Biden did the same thing Palin did, he said yes when asked to run on the ticket.
So, I would submit to you, if you have a problem with Sarah Palin being Vice-President and the possibility of her becoming President if something happened to John McCain, then the TRUE IDIOT OF THIS WHOLE FIASCO IS JOHN MCCAIN HIMSELF.
HE PICKED HER.
HE IS THE IDIOT.
In a fair world, the most popular search term leading people to my blog would be “JOHN MCCAIN IS AN IDIOT”.
**Update Sep 26th – After seeing Sarah Palin give three interviews and having listened to her explanations on her qualifications, I can now honestly say that Sarah Palin is indeed an Idiot! McCain is a bigger idiot for picking a clearly unqualified running mate and Sarah Palin is close behind him. I was a Republican for most of my adult life. The Republican portion of my brain cringes every time this woman speaks. Sorry Sarah, bordering a foreign country, especially one that you have never visited, does NOT count as foreign policy experience. When she first did her interview on ABC NEWS, although she did not know what the Bush Doctrine is and tended to ramble on alot of her answers, you could see that she had extreme confidence in herself. Watching the Katie Couric interview, she now appears totally lost and is drowning under the weight of her own inexperience. She acts just slightly more prepared and qualified than average citizens like you and I would if asked the same questions on camera. Are you ready to be Vice-President? I’m sure not, and it is painfully clear that she is not. Can you imagine her as the Leader of the free world? Yikes! What the heck was McCain thinking? Obviously, he wasn’t thinking straight or he took some seriously bad advice by picking her. She is going to be a train wreck at the debate. Biden will not have to say anything, he can let her dig her own grave with her rambling answers to even the most basic of questions. Anybody that thinks she is going to show up at that debate and blow people away is living in a dreamworld. I would say the exact same thing if Obama had picked a running mate so unprepared and unqualified for the job.

I’m soooo happy that McCain took Palin as his running mate!!!! He has sent an early Christmas present to Obama with his choice. Palin is fighting the media right now and the McCain Camp is crying once again. Get the towels ready boys….Palin has not even seen the worst of this yet as the Obama Camp has yet to turn up the heat. It seems that this woman has more skeletons in her closet than a local cemetary. I guarantee in the name of politics they will all be dug up before this is over!! McCain once again has proved to me that he is the exact same person as George Bush. I DO NOT believe for a second that McCain knew all about everything that is coming out about Sarah Palin. I see those type of statements from his side as a lie to cover up. Let’s face it, he tapped Palin because she IS A WOMAN. He hoped to bring across the votes from the independant Hillary supporters. I’m from Alaska and let me tell you it’s easy to be popular when you can give everyone in the state $1200 dollars. We are swimming in money because of oil. Palin won the primary because the former Governor was the least popular in the nation and Republicans almost always win in Alaska. She was in the right place at the right time, that’s it.

Well, here’s one point on which Sarah Palin is an idiot: She told a group of seminary students that (I paraphrase) we were sent into Iraq on a ‘task’ that was given by God; that it is God’s will that we develop our resources; that we should pray to God to “get that pipeline built”. Which God is she praying to? Moloch? What year is this? A.D. 760? Does Sarah believe that Stevie Nicks is a Welsh witch who should be burned at the stake? Does Palin even know that the earth is an oblate spheroid? I wonder if she’s read Nietzsche. 1. She doesn’t want sex education taught in schools.

3. She fired the head of the highway patrol failing to fire her brother in law for divorcing her sister.

5. She’s solidly in line with John McCain’s “Big Oil first” energy policy. She’s pushed hard for more oil drilling and says renewables won’t be ready for years.

7. Palin is strongly anti-choice, opposing abortion even in the case of rape or incest.

John McCain is 71 years old. The likelihood of him even finishing his first term breathing are againts the odds. Do we really want this idiot to be our step in if McCain croaks??? So at first I kept thinking that McCain had shot himself in the foot. Although I was an Obama supporter, I wasn’t thinking it would be that terrible to have McCain in in the event that it happened. Now, I think that Palin may be of even more questionable fiber (all kinds, but not bran) than Bush. She is rough around the edges, not well educated, YES has very little relevant experience and is just plain mean. How can the US regain the respect of the international community if we keep thrusting terminal clowns like Palin into positions of leadership? I just don’t get it. I have been voting in every local and national election/primary since I became eligible 20 years ago. I follow world, national and local politics every day. Voting is one of the few things our country asks us to do, and I take it very seriously. Most of us writers are not qualified to be elected officials, you are correct. However, Sarah Palin is not qualified either. Very few people actually are and given the current climate in our country, we can do much better.
As the first woman VP on the Republican ticket, she had the opportunity to use her historic moment to give an uplifting, hopeful, and exciting speech that would unify many Americans. Instead she chose to give a mean, sarcastic, narrow-minded speech that was written before she was even chosen. She is not a maverick. She is just doing what she’s been told to do. She did not speak on issues such as unemployment, foreclosures, or inner city issues – because she knows nothing of these things from her previous experience.
Everything I have read about her previous political roles indicates that she has a “my way or the highway” attitude and has fired many staffers she cannot get along with. She even tried to ban books in her local library and tried to have the librarian fired. She cannot be bipartisan. John McCain has made a horrible executive decision and should something happen to him, we will be thrown into a black hole of ignorance and narrow mindedness.

This is for “Your Father” posted on September 5th…….the last time I checked you didn’t need to be on a ballot for a public post in order to vote or give your opinion about a vice-president candidate. PALIN HAS MADE HERSELF FAIR GAME TO THE MEDIA AND EVERY OTHER USA CITIZEN BY JUMPING INTO THIS RACE. She knows ZERO about running a country with the military power that the USA has. She sent the governer’s jet through an ebay auction. I bring this up only because she brought it up herself at the RNC speach she delivered. I give her a pat on the back for not using the luxury jet but come on, why was it in a speach?? Is it a major accomplishment??? I buy and sell on ebay, am I then qualified to run for a VP?? It doesn’t take much to figure out how to do it. I am an independant woman democratic voter. I have voted for almost 22 years now since I turned 18. Believe me I have cross voted in the past for Republicans that I think are a better choice. McCain and Palin however ARE NOT being voted for on my ballot this year. McCain is just plain scarey. I find it simply amazing about how little he knows about anything other than foreign policy. Palin knows about as much, nothing about anything except for maybe the NRA and fishing/oil in Alaska. Tell me what either of them are going to truely do about the economy (ummmm I live in West Virginia and we do not have an oil or fishing industry here) last time I checked neither did PA, Ohio, Kentucky, just to name a couple of others. What about education??? Ohhhh wait…Palin, just doesn’t want anything dealing in health or planned parenting taught…that’s right, I remember now…JUST DON’T DO IT!!! Our country is in the gutter right now because of our military actions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and so on. A war machine is a heavy cost to pay for. Billions are being dropped in to it to keep it going. Yet in a time of war, our manufacturing jobs are being sent overseas to lower paid workers?? Why?? So more profits are going in to the pockets of the shareholders of those companies. We need a President like Bill Clinton again. I could give two craps about what he did with who or when he did it. Bill got the big picture….run your country like a COMPANY. The United States is NOT a non-profit organization. Lastly, I am angry about how the Republicans exploited the dead of 9/11 at their convention. Their so called “tribute” was in poor taste and a fear tactic used to get votes from anyone worrying about that happening again. I respect John McCain as a POW and the service that he gave to this country but am sick of hearing about it. We should not have to feel like WE OWE HIM the position of President because of this.

While I respect McCain’s service as a soldier, I do not respect his service in Congress nor the disservice he is doing this nation by selecting Palin as his running mate. Then, for his campaign to say she is not going to be giving any interviews until she gets some respect? RESPECT IS EARNED! All is fair game when she chose to run for a public office, especially when her life style and that of her kids conflicts with the ‘family values’ she espouses (how’s those abstinence talks coming with your kids, Sarah?).
Most worrisome about Palin is how ignorant she is of current affairs, most notably about one of the most critical economic problems of our time: the housing foreclosures and housing market in America. No wonder they keep her hidden away—she might open her mouth and exposure just how unfit she is to be a 72 year old’s heartbeat away from the presidency. She erroneously stated the other day that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac “had become too big and expensive for the taxpayers,” like they were government programs of some sort—-well, they have NOW, Sarah! Thanks to the deregulation the Republicans forced on the unsuspecting public, the ‘benefits’ have developed into a crisis that now becomes an estimated 200 billion bill to the taxpayers.
I guess being a barracuda and maverick means being totally ignorant of such national crises. If the woman doesn’t even read the newspaper or watch any news to stay informed…..oh wait, I forgot, she gets her word from God! Guess God forgot to let ole Sarah in on the facts about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? She can field dress a moose but she can’t even intelligently address one of the most critical economic issues of our time?
Respect is EARNED, Sarah baby! By the way, Miss Almost Alaska, loved your speech about Hilliary ‘whining’ about the sexism being shown her. You whine pretty good yourself. She said they needed a new hockey rink, built one and then the owner of the land said, “Thanks for the improvement, that’ll be $20 million for the land.” How the heck do you miss something like that? She is such a great executive that her own administration didn’t even bother to secure the land first before building.

Here, here! I typed in “Palin Idiot” to see what came up, and this blog popped up first.
Republicans: ultra rich and the rich who appreciate the tax breaks, along with a broad spectrum of easily controlled, lower intellectual, often bible-thumping Americans.
Democrats: higher educated and overly zealous hippy-wannabes, along with a broad spectrum of easily controlled, less educated, often unionized Americans.
I’m in the financial services business and like to imagine that I’ll be among the “rich and ultra rich” category someday. Regardless of that, I’ve seen enough of this world to understand that of the two above parties, the Democrats have more of what I want.
What I do know is that I always vote, and that I’ve had 8 years of nearly eye-popping frustration over the last administration.
- Smear campaigns en masse
- Deficit ballooning from nearly $5T to nearly $10T
- War over something that I’m still confused about
- Severe loss of international respect
- Hands tied, both financially and militarily as world threats constantly evolve (we cannot physically commit to war anyone at present, and we cannot effectively fight an economic war either –> see China)
It seems the leaving administration did it’s absolute best to leave the next administration holding the largest pile of poop in history, or at least since FDR.
I, like another reader, was unsure about McCain and wasn’t necessarily against him – at least he would be a change. I also respect his military experience. His choice of Palin is absolutely mind blowing and at this point I’ve cast my personal vote of no confidence in him. Like another reader, I wonder if her intelligence is nearly on par with Dubya – and to have her in a position where she can take over this country should anything happen to McCain (let alone run foreign policy *cringe*), is unthinkable.
In some respects I think this offer as a running mate is a blessing because how can he possibly win – but then I remember what happened 4 years ago in the election… to be honest, I’m not sure, but I think I might have to move internationally if our nation continues down the course it is currently set on.

Ok, so the reason I typed “palin is an idiot” on google was because I just heard her speak with Charles Gibson. She can’t pronounce “nuclear,” or “ideals,” and seems incapable of creating proper English sentences when not handed a script. Palin could easily become President of the United States. That is a terrifying thought. I am a republican, a big fan of John’s but I am going to vote for Obama because I do not want to see Palin take office. I understand why John hasn’t let her speak until her absolutely had no other choice.

Where can I buy this Palin Kool-Aid that everyone is drinking? I want to be able to work myself into a frenzy when she speaks empty sentences that sound polished. I want to get a tear of joy in my eye every time she falls back on the idea that war and leading by fear is the answer to the world’s problems.

While I think she may be good for Alaska@ She obvioulsy has no knowlege of any national issues other than OIL and clearly is unqualified to act as President. Shame on the religious right and conservative wing of that party for putting this lady on the position she is in. There is a reason why they do not allow her to have press conferences, insist on her using telaprontors, and force feeding her on the issues,

C’mon on everybody, Palin was a member of the Wasilla PTA for hell sake! This experience undoubtedly qualifies her to take the reins when old man McCain kicks the bucket.
And on that note, while I respect and love many senior citizens in my own life, this election makes it all too apparent that the so-called Greatest Generation is the greatest bunch of racists ever. Some of the comments I’ve heard from grey-headed folks about Obama being “uppity” makes my skin crawl. I’m ready for this chapter in American history to come to a close.

Well, how are things going?
In such a short time, we learn so much about Sarah Palin.
She was a city council person of a village in Alaska, she became mayor of the same village, she was a gubernatorial election spoiler who got in by the skin of her teeth. She is making a name for herself by such knowlegeable insight to questions on all topics; like lipstick, pitbulls, hockey, childbearing, keeping her “first dude” happy in bed and being the all around Anita Bryant she always wanted to be. Hmmm, yes, you are right; she is not the idiot, it is the man who chose her as a SUPPORTIVE running mate.

I watched the interview with my neighbor’s cat. Let me tell you about the cat first – it’s a very annoying, very disagreeable and humorless creature. The cat started snickering and long story short was dead from laughing too much. Now I have a pissed off neighbor to deal with. Why me? WHY?

Disclosure- I have voted Republican for 5 out of the last 6 elections, but do not consider myself neither Republican or Democrat, I vote for the person I believe best capable to serve our country as leader. I don’t however really believe that the President has as much power as is generally attributed to the office during a campaign. I believe the ones with the real power in this country are the Congress, and Americans spend way too little time selecting their congressmen than they should. In the end, I have usually stated that “they” (the parties) give us two idiots to vote for, and that’s not much of a choice. Except this year I am 100% in favor of Barack Obama. If you listened to his earlier speeches, he is bright, level headed, aware of the inefficiencies of Washington, and has the newness to not be heavily ingrained in the corrupt practices which are legal in Washington. (Read – “lobbying” which in my opinion= bribery. What else would you call payment for votes?)
His early message was all about changing Washington, the way it operates. As much as that is a noble effort, I’m not really so sure he could get it done. His more recent messages have been catering to get votes. We have a problem in our government. Our country is falling fast, the war is costing what did they say, $12 billion a month? Have you asked yourself, what is really causing our economy to crash the way it is, Could it possibly the high cost of the war? I am not smart enough to know for sure, but what I do know is that for my adult life, the rich keep getting richer, and the poor keep getting poorer. I live in a Chicago suburb with Doctors and Lawyers all around me, and they don’t seem to feel the economy pinching. I wonder why. My friends are in Sales, Construction, Media, and blue collar fields. We are all looking at our savings if we have any, disappearing fast. We can’t afford another 4 years of the Bush “world view” as Sarah would say. We need change and we need it fast. We need to get the lobbyists out of Washington, Lawyers to quit causing the skyrocketing rates of insurances, Manufacturing back in the US, (thanks alot Clintons for all your free trade agreements that sent manufacturing jobs out of this country, oh yeh, thanks for selling nuclear secrets to the Chinese, why didn’t that ever come up in the campaign?)

You shouldn’t assume. Assuming things strips you of credibility. I typed in Palin is an idiot, and found your site, and I HAD heard of her before. I first heard of her when she passed law allowing polar bears to be hunted by plane. This was about one or two years ago. Polar bears have been the poster child for dying species by melting ice caps for a lot longer than that. I have thought she was an idiot for quite some time now.
Also, I agree about McCain. It is insulting. Insulting that his campaign thought they could pick another panty and fill the Clinton vote slot. Clinton fans, women, fans of women, should be offended.
In the end, it is not about the candidate – it is about what is best for this country and this particular place in history and who can best fullfill our needs. And that is not McCain and certainly not Palin – in my humble opinion.

I don’t think idiot is exactly the point. Clearly, she is not very bright compared to women like Hillary Clinton or Condi Rice, but what is most striking about her is just how bizarre she is. Moose hunting aside, the woman seems to be a pathological liar – unable to tell the truth even when there is no need to manufacture a fiction. Hence, fantasies like the teleprompter malfunction episode emerge, absent any apparent prompting by circumstances. Add to this tanning beds in the Governor’s Mansion;
family feuds dictating policy; a refusal to take responsibility, as an adult and parent,
for her minor child’s pregnancy; bilking the government for her family’s travel; claiming to have canceled pork barrel projects which she supported; campaining as a reformer when she took $200 million in earmarks this year alone; and on and on and on and on, and you have just about the most eccentric, most bewildering “leader” that has ever been manufactured. This Cinderella story will not persist long. Once enough right-wing dopes realize they are voting for Chance the Gardener rather than Cinderella, her reign of error will be over.

One of her good pals got the job as head of the Alaskan Department of Agriculture, because when she was a little girl, she liked cows!
Go ahead, elect her. Continue making five bucks an hour working for companies that won’t give you full time work, so they don’t have to give you health insurance or any other benefits. Go on living in a country where a hospital can turn you away if you can’t pay the bill and don’t have Blue Cross. Keep on tolerating substandard education that leads to people being so ignorant that they don’t know anything about their rights under US law and let them be trammeled into the dirt by George Bush and his cohorts. Go ahead and vote for more years of a ridiculous war that costs billions of dollars a day. Vote for higher gas prices to make the likes of Dick Cheney rich.
Keep making America into a Third World Country, while you dream that you’re still living in the greatest nation on earth – even if, like Sarah Palin, you’ve never been anywhere else or seen any other way of life. After all, they say it’s so on television, don’t they? If they say it on teevee, it MUST be true.
The true idiots are the people who vote for these worms – and the people who sit on their duffs, just taking the abuse that has been meted out to Americans for the last eight years. If you’re going to be that passive and pathetic, America deserves whatever it gets. No wonder much of the rest of the world is making a point of distancing themselves from the mess. No wonder people are aligning with the Euro and investing in China and India. She does not deserve to be VP under any circumstances. She was Mayor of a town with less than 10,000 people, it is the town she was raised in. Alaska has less than 700,000 inhabitants. It is a prized wilderness. Anchorage Daily News 10/23/06-” As Mayor of Wasilla, Palin cut taxes while simultaneously expanding the towns operating budget by almost 2 million. She ended her term in 2002 with Wasilla 20 million in debt. ” Not too good economics as I see it.
Daily Sitka Sentenial 10/28/06-” As Mayor of Wasilla in 1998 she asked all city’s top managers to resign in order to test their loyalty to her administration. ” What a heart and what an ego.

She has recently allowed the killing of black bear sows and their cubs. It is the Alaskan Natives who are against her lack of concern for wildlife.
She supported the Independant Party of Alaska and thought Ron Paul to be “Cool.” Cool, her husband gonna be the “First Dude.” I am more than a little worried after all the research I have doen. If you look at the glasses and clothes she wore as Mayor you will see flats, short skirts, dowdy tops and hair down. She has been cleaned-up and set before the American Public as some Wonder Woman. Far from it and you can not make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Her speeches from the telepromtor, written by the minds behind our leaders are a far cry from her conversations on her own. I am not fooled. I am disappointed and concerned.
We are facing very difficult times with much happening around the world that should be in the front of our priorities. Great Britian has just allowed Sharia Law this means they have lost the right to take care of Muslims in their midst. Tom Trancredo has just introduced a bill to stop that from happening in America. Let us all hope it passes. If you have not studied Palin, our enemies, Russia, China, Iran and read the Qur’an, Hadith and life of Muhammad you better. It will take more than a little coaching and reading to bring her up to par.

We’re all entitled to our opinions, however the “sky-rocket” of Palin from mayor to govenor has nothing to do with merrit or accomplishment. Alaska is a remote state who’s popluation consist of indiginous people and wildlife Those who have never been there cannot associate, Alaska is very very Rural neighbors are matter of miles away for the most part. Politically its the apitomy of “good ole boy/girl” political system.
It’s not that she earned that position, she was at the right place at the right time. Imagine her as mayor of a state with the population of say New York (NYC) or Dallas Texas. It just simply wouldn’t happen in the real world.
I do agree however how can we expect a woman who can’t keep her own home in order to be in earshot of the 2nd most powerful political position in the world. “Shes a hockey mom” is the common plea to other women out there that shes just like them, which should be more of an insult than comparison. What bothers me is that she can’t even field simple questions. It’s time for reporters to be able to ask her questions like every other candidate and let her speak. They had no problem at all blasting Hillary with tough questions which she answered intelligently. Once questions are fired randomly at her, I think even the Palin supporters will think twice about her when her responses don’t make any sense and you see the panic in her face. They will realize that a pretty face and a smile was cute at first but she can’t possibly go to Washington!

Have you seen Palin’s interview with Katie Couric? That would be enough to convince anyone she’s an idiot. It’s no surprise that she’s carefully shielded from the press. She’s probably fine with local Alaska issues, but she does not have a clue about national or international affairs.

Some derogatory statements about Barack Obama “might” be true. However, it doesn’t erase the fact that Senator McCain demonstrated a huge failure in judgment and a complete failure of the process surrounding his decision to raise Sarah Palin as his VP running mate.From the day he pronounced that decision, John McCain he has continued to demonstrate one failure in judgment after another.
Despite Sarah Palin’s apparent abilities as a political operative in Alaska (which has almost zero correlation to the lower 48 states in anything political, economical or otherwise) and her apparent abilities as an administrator of a small Alaskan town, then as governor of the State of Alaska, she has clearly and consistently demonstrated that she is out of her league as a candidate for Vice President, and is in no way, shape or form prepared to actually be Vice President. She is intellectually challenged on the issues of critical urgency to this country and has shown that although she can deliver a canned, rehearsed speech in a controlled environment, she apparently is not capable of conversing with an average journalist or voter to engage in a consistent, coherent discussion of the current domestic, economic and foreign relations problems facing this country.
Moreover, it is almost incomprehensible that John McCain would put her in a position where she would be one heart beat away from assuming the Presidency from a 72 year man who has a greater than 50% statistical probability of being unable to fulfill even one 4 year term in office due to his current age, his current maladies and having had one initial case of the most deadly form of melanoma cancer, followed by three additional occurrences of similar forms of melanoma (based on published actuarial tables and testimony from some of the foremost and prominent oncologists that have reviewed the limited medical information that John McCain has been made public).
Sarah Palin is a wonderful, enthusiastic, energetic and positive person who would be an excellent cabinet member or as an operative in a staff position. However, she is embarrassingly ill prepared to take the 2nd highest office in this country, let alone the very unacceptably high probability that she would be required to assume the office of the President within a first 4 year term.
It was totally and completely irresponsible for John McCain to have put her and this country into this high risk gamble, based on a hope and a prayer that he would be able to “beat the odds” and survive 4 years in office as President.
By the way, the statistical probability that John McCain would be *unable* to fulfill a second 4 year term if he were able to beat the odds and survive a first 4 year term, *rises to over 85%*. Translated, even if he were to beats the odds of making it through the first 4 years, he would only have a 15% chance of being able to fulfill a second term. That means there is roughly an 85% probability that SARAH PALIN WILL BECOME THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES IF THEY GET ELECTED AND TAKE OFFICE IN JANUARY 2009.
In My Humble Opinion, this is not acceptable. No how, no way.

Only in America could people get behind Sarah Palin. Only in America could George Bush get elected twice. The problem here, and it is truely sad, is that the real idiots are the 40% or so of Americans who are going to vote Republican. There is a real cancer in the heartland full of bible thumpers, rednecks, racists and uneducated soccer mom and dads. The history of America is not a pretty one, and Republican values are a direct offshoot of this. Luckily, there a great many educated, worldly, and open-minded Americans who I believe will ensure that the McCain-Palin ticket does not prevail. I’ve listened to the political pundits talk and I’ve watched the news casts. I’ve read your blogs and I’ve looked at your bar graphs. I watched the debates and I researched the issues. But I still haven’t heard a single reputable source state the obvious:
Sarah Palin is an evil, nasty, harpy, shrew-
Leave it to the Republicans to find someone even more distasteful than Hilary. I honestly didn’t think that was possible. However, at this point, I’d be happier if McCain’s running mate was a rock with a smiley face painted on it if it meant escaping putting what I strongly suspect to be an insidious alien in the White House. I’m not saying this to be glib, either. I really don’t think she’s human.
Like I said before, I watched the Palin/Biden debate. The only thing I was impressed with was the fact that Palin’s beauty pageant training was clearly coming into play. Every question she answered included many cutesy winks and sickly sweet compliments, but rarely did she actually say anything. She should have just answered every goddamn question with ‘World peace!’ and been done with it.
I don’t want Palin to help run the country. I want to her wear a bikini and twirl a baton previously lit on fire. Then I want to that baton to light her over styled hair ablaze. F her. F her with a rusty screwdriver. (edited)

The scary part is that she believes that living next to a foreign country without ever having been there or talked with its people, qualifies her for (vice) presidency. I guess that means that every European (who live closer to other borders than she did in Alaska) could be prime minister of every country.
She has never been outside of the US, she is totally insular. I bet she couldn’t name the 50 states or pass any high school test of geography. Her frequent gaffes about invasion and war show a person who has been impregnated by the patriotic propaganda in the US without ever having known the real issues of the terrain.

Anyone willing to vote for a ticket with this woman on it should be institutionalized. Seriously… has the woman been able to verbalize ANY policy position, ANY understanding of domestic or foreign policy issues, or even a SINGLE COHERENT THOUGHT in a manner that makes you believe she truly knows what she’s saying rather than simply spouting political rhetoric that’s been drilled into her head over the course of the past few months? It just seems to be getting worse where Palin is concerned. The debate was so infantile, she was just sickening. Weeks of drilling and she comes up with winks, darns, ya betchas etc etc etc. Can you for one minute imagine Margaret Thatcher or Condi Rice acting in this fashion when speaking with World Leaders?

OK I know the comment about her Real Responsibilities, will rub alot of woman the wrong way, I served in Shield/Storm and this war, but I had responsible people take care of my 3 children when I did it. I happen to be a Patriot. I am sure that will rub alot of you the wrong way. I have read the Sunna, Haddith, Qur’an and life of Muhammad after serving in Shield/Storm, ignorance is not bliss and the Egyptian Brotherhood started in on America 50yrs ago and if you just listen or read the things that are happening in Europe related to Islam and you read what Council on Islamic Relations, CAIR, is doing in our country today to Talk Radio Hosts, Pastors, in our schools, in our industries, in our libraries, you will get an inkling that “something dark and senister our way has come.”
So I did what I did for the reasons I believe to be important at this time in our Nation’s history. However, back to my point. A woman has a different role in a child’s life, even though I mayself have had to be mother and father, I know I am not a man, I am a woman and I most certainly did and do affect my children on a different plane. Crossing the line here, am not against different lifestyles but do not believe a man/man or woman/woman healthy relationship or environment for raising children. Hey look if God created only Adam and Adam or Eve and Eve, you and I would not be here. There is a Natural Order of Things. Look around you. I was Head Captain of the Pep Squad, nominated most beautiful, number one actress in my high school and college, Senior Class Secretary, Junior Rotarian, offered and turned down a picutre in Playboy, scrupples here etc etc etc. Worn many hats, modeled and danced and preformed since age 5 but I am not, never have been never will be an empty airheaded TWIT. I also recognize Palin for just what she was described as by a recent post. I know how these twerps cut you guys to pieces, but remember your high school reunion? The eggheads, little guys etc turned out to be the most successful and best looking. The football heroes all stowed up with gimpy legs and big beer bellies because so few make the bigtime. Has anybody been paying attention for the last eight years? The Republicans have been in power the 6 of the last 8 years. There is still a Rebuplican President who as shown throguh his actions a complete disdain for the U.S. Constitution, he has violated or has be instrumental in violating at least four of the Bill of Rights. He professes to to be a Christian and anti-abortion yet he started a war, very un-Christian like, and he is for the death penality. Lets see, it’s imoral to terminate a pregnancy because it is killing life, but it is okay sanction killing by the state of a grwon human being. A bit contradictory.
The President has bullied and cajoled Congress into passing some of the most anti-American legislation, The Patriiot Act, Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to name two. He insisted on retroactively protecting telecommunication companies who complied violating U.S. citizens Fourth Ammendment rights. He has kept persons held for years in violation of the Fifth and Sixth Amendments of the Constitution. He has spent the trillion dollar surplus he inherited when he first became president and he has spent us into heavy debt that our grandchildren will be paying of because of a war that does not need to be fauhgt. He is responsible for the deaths of our fine soldiers, as well as the deaths of thousands of inocent civilians. After all this the U.S. is not mofe safe than it was before 2000.
If following Bush and supporting his policies is what a conservative Reubplican is about, then I am proud to be a liberal Democrat.
The Democrate have been so ineffective during the last 8 years that they probably could not pass gas, much less any meaningful legislation. Meaningful legislation that does not support the righ corporations and their executives who have been stealing this country blind. The United States is supposed to be a country of the people, by the people, and for the people.
I like John McCain but he has two big problems. First the Republican party and their very scary religious right Christians, who erroneously believe that the United States was founded as a Christian nation. By the way , it was founded on the premise of religious freedom regardless of religious preference, Muslims, Jews and Catholics included.
Second, John McCain has Sarah Palin, by far the worse candidate for Vice President. I hope John does not win and this country gets turned around. But if he does, I hope he live a long and productive life. The Unites States cannot survive with a person like Sarah Palin as President. My dog is smarter than her.

Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin went to bartar with these Muslims and Thomas Jefferson asked why they were treated with such disgusting abandonment. He was told why. He then started reading Qur’ans to understand the enemy and when he became President he attacked them. Ever hear the Marine Corps Anthem? From the Halls of Montezuma to the Shores of Tripoli. Well that was the first time our Navy was put into action and the Marines fought on those very lands mentioned in their Anthem and pushed the Muslims out and saved those that were there.
Keith Ellison the Muslim in office who said his oath on the Qur’an thought himself smart when he made the statement Thomas Jefferson had respect for Islam because of all the Qur’ans in his office. Not realizing Thomas Jefferson used those Qur’ans to study and know his enemy and defeat him in battle. Keith Ellison used one of those Qur’ans to pledge his oath on. I find that Ironic and laughable.
I agree both parties to blame for the mell of a hess we are in. I am disgusted with the entire election and it’s candidates. Never did I dream we would have such a terrible choice. Never did I dream there would be such horrible situations facing my country. It is what it is. Once again we are seeing how ignorant the comman man is idolizing this Palin, going crazy over a pretty face, nice leg and turn of an ankle. Or make a Messiah out of some big eared dope who by the way is 50% white and not American African but Kenya Arabic Muslim African with a cousin named Ondinga who slaughtered Christians after he lost the Presidential Election in Kenya. This is the guy who burned the church down with people in it. This is the guy who wants Sharia Law. This is the guy who was imprisoned. This is Obamas cousin. Obama said in his book if America turns against Islam he will go with the Muslims. Why do you think Hazbollah, Hamas and all Middle East pulling for him? Look at the people he has chosen to be in his cabinet. Every sonofsatan who was at the bottom of Fanny Mae and Freddie is on his team of advisors. Hellooooooo out there.
In conclusion, if the US is not safer how do you account for no more attacks since 9/11? I personally consider that safe. Especially with all the sleeper cells, training camps etc that we are watching in our country. Let us all do the right thing. When we figure out what that is.

Hi folks. Yes, Sarah Palin is an idiot. An idiot, like many other Alaskan and American politicians, who have a true and irrational distrust of ideas and intellectual discourse. Like an ostrich with her head in the sand, her type prays for prophetic end times to come and rescue her before being forced to actually extract her head and view the world for what it is.
I was born and raised here in Alaska and have been following Gov. Palin casually since she won her Wasilla mayoral contest back in the mid-nineties. She should not be underestimated, as she has proven to be a very wily and capable political opportunist.
Just some contextual info regarding Palin’s ilk in Alaska: Alaska is a very rich state, with a small population and large oil reserves. Until the sixties, most oil had not been discovered or tapped; Alaska was a kinder, poorer, more progressive state than it is now. In the seventies and eighties Alaska was deluged by oil workers from the continental United States (we call it the Lower 48). As a result of such a huge influx of hard working albeit very conservative, blue collar workers from states such as Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas, the voting majority morphed into a very anti-education, anti-science, pro-creationism block. The conservative majority has since chipped away at Alaska’s education system, which was lauded in the past for being willing to fund subjects such as music and art.
Alaska’s brand of oil driven, quasi-libertarian Republicanism has been incredibly destructive to those less fortunate or in need. Also, Alaska has to be the only state in the U.S. that does not provide a retirement plan or pension to its public employees. Palin has thrived in this environment of rich selfishness provided by big oil that permeates Alaska today.
Two things about Palin that should explain volumes:
Sarah maintains her current 65% pro popularity rating in AK due to the fact that she just (last month) doled out $3,200 in oil money to all Alaskans, rich and poor alike.
Not only does Sarah Palin think scientifically debunked “intelligent design,” (a.k.a. creationism) should be taught in school to all children…she thinks it should be taught and given equal time in SCIENCE CLASS as an alternate to modern scientific theories.
So yes, so to speak, she is and idiot.

McCain has realized (NOW) the mortgage, and overall financial situation, of this country goes much deeper (more troubling to HIM) than he originally thought. There has been ills in the wind for SEVERAL years now about the mortgage crisis. Of course, there is the Iraq debacle, and he does not know Putin as well as Palin. (haha) He wants out, too much for the old man to handle! How does one save “face” in this situation? ……..

Interesting theory you have there Wayne. Not totally out in left field when we look at the questionable assassinations, deaths, twists and turns that have played out over the years throughout our countries history, those 50 yrs after the fact allowed to become public knowledge. Those 50 yrs after WWII allowed to be known. Could be we will see much more happening in this election that will discredit Americans if Obama were to win.
There are 4 books I consider a must that will answer many questions the American people have concerning, oil and how we got here, our problems with our food production and the China situation. For those interested I suggest you read the Qur’an and learn about Muhammad. There is a book coming out in America that was forbidden to be published in England, related to rising, snarling, manic, Muslims, oh I know just a few that are not moderate right? Only took a few to bring down the Towers huh? Not the size but the determination to reach the prize. Anyway I transgress, this book is about Muhammad’s wife he wed when she was 6 and took her to bed when she was 9. She has lots to say, you should read it. “The Coming Conflict with China”, Richard Bernstein and Ross H. Munro, these two have been correspondents in China and bureau chiefs in Asia. “Harvest of Rage”, Joel Dyer, brings us a view from a reporter who spent years investigating the personal and social demise facing rural Americans. Covers the reasons and the men behind it. “Fiasco”, Jack Anderson, a hard hitting no holds barred book that will get up in your face with the facts related to our dependance on Saudi Oil and the strangulation that we now suffer at the hands of our enemies.
These are starters that will get any redblooded, gun carrying, Bible thumpin or not, I am smiling, using cutesy hand jesters, winking and can I call ya Wayne over here. I think I made myself sick, books that are must reads. Nothing comes from nothing and there is so much something behind everything today I feel like Alice in Topsey Turvey Land. What is right is wrong, what is wrong is right and nobody knows the difference or for that matter cares enough to find out.
By the by I do believe it is importtant to at least travel to other parts of the world or make friends with people from other countries. If Palin had visited Paris she would have at least had access to the Louvre’ where she might have been inspired to read about the Great Masters or The Rise and Fall of the Great Civilizations there. She would have been exposed to Napolean’s tomb. The little Emporer whom she has so much in common with, studied him, the Napoleanic Wars and had some inkling how we rise and fall. She would have been exposed to Joan de Arc and so many others whose statues the Parisians have erected at the spots they fell and maybe she would have asked some questions. She would have been exposed to the remnants of the French Revolution, the pain, suffering, degredation of the common folk, the real common folk. That is just one city. Imagine if she went through Aushwitz and saw the pics of the burned bodies and faces of those starved, or the pics of the devestation of Dresden or went up into the Swiss Alps where Hannibal crossed with his elephants and armies. Would she not have marveled or wondered what kind of determination that takes?
The World is indeed our awakening of Soul, mind and assists with our determination not to repeat the lessons learned from failed Civilizations, war and inhumanity to man. It gives us a greater appreciation for the Freedoms we take for granted here in America. It slaps us in the face if we have eyes to see and ears to listen. All of Europe is filled with ancestors of every white person in America just as the Middle East, East and Africa home to ancestors of others on our shores. We should reflect and remember who we are, how we got here, what our forefathers did, understand the Constitution, know we are a Republic, listen to the words of Sam Adams, Ben Franklin, all. Inaction and ignorance will be our downfall.
Obama stands for nothing we hold dear. He wants to bring this Nation to it’s knees. He has said as much. Why not the Shield? Why would you side with Muslims? Why would you talk with Iran unconditionally or Putin for that matter? Why the anti-American friends? Why not let Berg who has the lawsuit against him demanding his vault birthcertificate see it? Why hide your writings from college? Too many whys.
Again I must say let us carry a shovel with us at all times to throw off the crap flung at us from all sides.

I’m scared to death if Obama loses beacuse McCain’s decision to choose Palin as a running mate shows that not only he can’t make good decisions for this country…he is an absolute moronic fool! I’m dumfounded that the McCain side even has any points on the polls…how could ANYONE think these two could run the country? I mean geeze even if they don’t like Obama it’s obvious he is the ONLY choice due to the complete idiocracy of the alternative. Who gets their first passport in their 40’s? (Palin got her first passport last year) Is this person ready to be the commander-in-chief of the largest military on the planet? What about representing the country in complex international negotiations? What about understanding global economics?
At least 33% of the US is more intellectual and better traveled than Palin. Unfortunately these voters are spread around the US in such a way that the electoral college allows less than intellectual people to make strong runs for the White House.

You wouldn’t know it from seeing the “rallies” (ahem, mobs of very angry people) at the conservative campaign sites. I think it’s so sad, though, that BOTH parties seek to paint the others as the outsiders, the non-Americans. Those OTHER people, they must be idiots, they must be anti-American. It happens on both sides of the divide, people! There are both conservatives and liberals that I respect, that I think have good ideas on how the country should be managed. Hey guys its only $21,000 dollars in two years for flights, this total does not include hotels and incidentals, you will be happy to know she stays at only the finest hotels that a hockey mom can afford with the tax payers money (about $200 – $700 a night), as you do. If she shares the room she gets the $700 one, if they get there own rooms its about $200 a piece instead, so she actually saves us money by taking the $700 a night one – thanks Sarah

Palin did say 1 thing that I did agree on for the record…..paraphrasing….she said….at the end of the day on election day, whomever is the new President would be so because of God’s Will…Amen to that. I am a Christian, know my Lord and Saviors name, and so does Obama. He reads a Bible, goes to a church, and does not read the Koran. I truly feel sorry for you that you live pretty much in fear of another attack here in the USA. If you are a Christian you would recognize that if that day comes, it is God’s Will, nothing is unforseen by Him. No one can change His Will.

I just wanted to say it has been a PLEASURE blogging with you first in the beginning and now at the end of this campaign. Thank you for this blog and I will continue in the future to look for other things from you!! I can only feel sorry for those out there that try to hide behind a religion such as Betty C. Your last posting to me just showed that a Christian she is not. We can only hope and pray for those who are lost. We can only have compassion for those that are so near-sighted that race is still an issue with them even today. They are truly blinded. I would have thought the world would have learned much more from Hitler when it comes to race wars. Yet, in this country there are still people who look at another’s skin color to determine that person’s worth. How sad. As a white woman, I can say with all honesty that Obama could be purple in color and he would still have my vote. I’m voting for the best candidate, the best choice, and the true change that we are all seeking. McCain is not change, McCain is George W. in a different package, on the outside, but I am not blind and can see this.

I am glad Mcain did not win and she isn’t vice president. I don’t know much about American politics as i live in Namibia (next to South Africa). I read an article this morning in which she asked someone if South Africa is a country. Apparently she thinks the whole of the African continent is one big country much like North America and places like Kenya, DRC, Zimbabwe and South Africa is just provinces of like the American States (Florida, California ect).
That is not only shocking, but does put the Americans in a good light with people in Africa (like me). Not that everybody is like that i admit but she would have been one of the faces put forward to the outside world… I shudder to think. Most of the countries in the southern part of Africa has this urban legend about Americans (i really don’t know if its true): when they get off the airplane in Johannesburg or Cape town or even here in my country (Windhoek) they start looking for lions and elephants in the streets are amazed we have stuff like cars, buildings, shops, internet. They thought we still lived in mudhuts….

LOL I had such a good time reading all of these comments. I am so happy that the majority of the voters in the US have opened their eyes to how truly BAD republican policy is. I hope Obama will do what Bush did…. sign a bunch of executive orders as soon as he gets into office. The only difference being Obama’s orders will actually be good for the country. I am so happy to be an American! I was seriously considering leaving the country if McCain had been elected. It does sit uneasy with me though, that Obama didn’t win by a larger margin.

Palin will never win the presidency. Clearly, her hubris permits her to think as much. He ego is so gargantuan that she actually thought she was prepared to be Vice-President and President if John McCain were to perish. She can’t answer the most basic questions one would ask at the dinner table.
Her unfavorables nationwide are high. It’s rather funny that people use her high approval ratings in her native Alaska to bolster their cause. Alaska is swimming in money and they’re the biggest welfare state in the country. She defeated an old fart who was extremely unpopular. That is why she won. She was at the right place at the right time and carpe dium sums it up.
She knows nothing about the economy, foreign policy and very little about the country she professes to love. She is not president material. But, she has chosen not to retreat quietly to Alaska and kill some polar bears and moose. She’s basking in the limelight of the press. If she had half a brain, she’d start reading “Foreign Policy for Dummies” as a beginning but no, she can’t even do that.
Sarah Palin, you’re a blithering idiot and the antithesis of what a competent politician should be. I realize Americans voted for 8 years of Bush but at least most of them have seen the huge mistake they made. Sarah Palin is a female George Bush.
Go make some moose chili, raise your children properly, take care of your baby who’s only months old and don’t do any more interviews. You’d be doing the country and yourself a favor. And one more thing: you have the gall to talk about special needs but have yet to hire a person who is mentally or physically challenged as part of your government. If it looks like a moose and smells like a moose……… I think your few brain cells can figure out the rest.

GOV.PALIN AND FAMILY BELIEVE SYSTEM
The founder of the Alaska Independence Party — a group that has been courted over the years by Sarah Palin, and one her husband was a member of for roughly seven years — once professed his “hatred for the American government” and cursed the American flag as a “damn flag.”
The AIP founder, Joe Vogler, made the comments in 1991, in an interview that’s now housed at the Oral History Program in the Rasmuson Library at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.
“The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government,” Vogler said in the interview, in which he talked extensively about his desire for Alaskan secession, the key goal of the AIP.
“And I won’t be buried under their damn flag,” Vogler continued in the interview, which also touched on his disappointment with the American judicial system. “I’ll be buried in Dawson. And when Alaska is an independent nation they can bring my bones home.”
At another point, Volger advocated renouncing allegiance to the United States. In the course of denouncing Federal regulation over land, he said:
“And then you get mad. And you say, the hell with them. And you renounce allegiance, and you pledge your efforts, your effects, your honor, your life to Alaska.”

Palin has courted the group over the years.
Three years after the controversial interview, in 1994, Palin attended the group’s annual convention, according to witnesses who spoke to ABC News’ Jake Tapper. The McCain campaign is disputing her presence there, but Tapper found two people to attest to it.
The McCain campaign today produced Palin’s voting registration records, and said they proved she was never a member of the party.
But she has repeatedly reached out to the group. The McCain campaign has confirmed she visited the group’s 2000 convention, and she addressed its convention this year, as an incumbent governor whose oath of office includes upholding the Constitution of the United States.
Palin’s husband, Todd Palin, was a member of the party from 1995-2002 with a brief exception in 2000.
It’s worth noting that Vogler isn’t just some figure from ancient history. He is still being hailed on AIP’s site this year, the same year Palin addressed the group’s convention.
It’s worth pondering how big a deal it would be if Obama had ever courted the support of a group whose head had said this kind of thing about America and her flag. Oh, wait…

As for the people of Alaska they are not idiots we all get dooped on who is feeding us more shit than the other (you have to love democracy… The best thing that could happen for america is for this woman to GO AWAY the problem is how much farther away than Alaska can you go? Is it illegal to deport a US citizen? And then again who would take her?

Somewhere, right now, some comedian is taking a shot at some public figure or their family to get a cheap laugh. Then he apologized. End of story, right? OH, NO! This fucking BIMBO and her dipshit old man have to milk this scenario for every last drop of facetime that they can get out of it. She is an opportunist. That’s it. Period. David Letterman made a crude joke. Big toot. This all goes back to Bristol parading around the country with her kid on her hip preaching abstinence. It is the hypocrisy of this that brought about the joke. Sara Palin is such an idiot, she either didn’t get it or wanted American to think she didn’t get it to try and deflect the entire story onto her 12 year old. Guess what; if she had taken her lumps like a man. (poor choice of words but you know what I mean), and kept her mouth shut, this would have passed with virtually no fanfare. But no, she can’t do that. She says that Dave was talking about the 12 year old. Lettermans humor is based on current events. To the best of my memory Palin’s 12 year old. Petri dish or whatever her name is, hasn’t been in the news with her bastard child or making the media circuit talking about abstinence. Everyone in America got it but Sara. Doesn’t that pretty much size it up? Sara Palin is that bitch I hated in High School who thought she was better than everyone else, didn’t study and came out with some of the most idiotic statements imaginable. As some have already stated, Johnny is the bigger idiot. We should be able to sue him over bringing this mental midget to the national stage.

I have to agree with many of the comments that were placed on this site as to the suitability of Palin in office or any office. what is even more interesting,as we approach 9 months of Barak Obama’s presidency, CNN is still using Palin for news, but then I suppose the village idiot does have some entertainment worth of sorts.
