Sarah Palin/ Joe Biden debate: How Palin could be useful in the future

Seconds after the photo above was taken, Sen. Biden’s head exploded after hearing the words “Because…I can see Russia” for the 193rd time in his debate with Sarah Palin.

You might not realize it from all my many rants about Sarah Palin, but I really have nothing personal against the woman. I do feel that there is no possible way that she is qualified to be President or Vice-President of our Country, not with the very limited experience that she has. I am not being sexist, it has nothing to do with her being a woman, it all relates to her total lack of the unique experience needed to possibly be leader of the free world. I’m sure she might be a nice woman, a great mother, and a heck of a good politician with a great future ahead of her, but it is hard to tell since we know absolutely nothing about her except the small little tidbits that the McCain camp feels the public is allowed to see and read. I think these few TV interviews she has given has grossly exposed just how inexperienced and unprepared she is for the job of Vice-President. Do you not think that the McCain people were not cringing after watching the Katie Couric interview? They will say otherwise publicly but they were probably crying as each answer Sarah Palin gave ended up losing McCain another point in the polls. The McCain people cannot admit that she is doing poorly. To do so, would confirm that McCain made possibly the biggest political blunder in modern times. There is one good thing I can see possibly coming out of this fiasco. I see one way that the name Sarah Palin can be used as a positive instead of a punchline for generations to come. I think that this will prevent this type of risky pick from ever being made again in a presidential race. No candidate is going to want to stick out his/her neck and put his/her reputation on the line by putting forward such a poor choice for a running mate. Nobody will want their running mate to be called the “Next Sarah Palin”. I feel a little sorry for the poor woman. Her name will most likely be a punchline and a source for skits on Saturday Night Live and the late night talk shows for years to come. She might enjoy a successful career in Alaska, but her National Political career is probably shot. She is not totally without blame though. She could have easily said “Thank you…but no Thank You” to McCain when he called and offered her the VP slot. She could have realized that she did not have the experience nescessary for the job and politely refused it. I know 99% of politicians would jump at the job, just as she did, but you gotta understand and accept your own limitations.

Her debate with Joe Biden is coming up next week. If you saw the exchanges back and forth between McCain and Obama during their debate, it was not hard to cringe when thinking of Joe Biden and Sarah Palin onstage next week. Take that woman with her rambling, nonsensical answers that she gave Katie Couric and put her on live TV in front of 30 million people……and the results are going to be ugly. But, if she shows up for the debate and the McCain folks don’t figure out some way to cancel the debate….I will give her great KUDOS for actually showing up. She is not dumb. She knows what she is heading into. She knows that Joe Biden is probably going to mop her up on most of the issues. If you are a Palin supporter and you think that she could possibly win this debate, I would suggest you get to your Doctor and get your Anti-Psychotic med doseages increased. This debate is going to be the equivalent of someone bringing a box full of puppies, kittens, baby Koalas, baby chipmunks, baby deer, and baby rabbits out onto the stage and then having the crowd watch in horror as a huge HUMMER SUV runs across the box, backs up, runs over it again, backs up, runs over it again…..etc. It is going to be ugly!

Columnist Bob Herbert of The New York Times wrote this about Palin:

“The alarm bells should be clanging and warning lights flashing. You wouldn’t put an unqualified pilot in the cockpit of a jetliner. The potential for catastrophe is far, far greater with an unqualified president.
The press has an obligation to hammer away at Ms. Palin’s qualifications. If it turns out that she has just had a few bad interviews because she was nervous or whatever, additional scrutiny will serve her well.”

“If, on the other hand, it becomes clear that her performance, so far, is an accurate reflection of her qualifications, it would behoove John McCain and the Republican Party to put the country first — as Mr. McCain loves to say — and find a replacement for Ms. Palin on the ticket.”

Nicely put Mr. Hebert!

So, now we wait for the great debate…

I will be watching intently and giggling, laughing, choking, and crying in pity along with (some of) the rest of you. Hopefully, we will not have to witness such a probable, lopsided, bloody massacre in a debate again.

If by chance, a large monkey falls out of my butt and Palin actually wins the debate, I will be the first to come back on here and profess that I was WRONG! I will then pledge to post nothing but positive posts about Sarah Palin until election day.

But….

I am NOT worried.

I live in Texas. I got foreign policy experience because “we can see” Mexico from my state. Maybe I should run for National Office…..

On paper, my credentials match up close to Sarah Palin in a lot of areas….

Is that scary or what?

  1. Even if Palin manages the miraculous and comes off like a thinking adult capable of assuming the VP position (let alone the presidency), I will continue to criticize Palin on her records and the issues. I ask you to reconsider your promise.

Nice blog- come over and check out mine:

  2. I believe Sarah Palin is fully qualified…at least she watches/supports her own adds

  3. But will they have language interpreters available for listeners who are unable to understand what Sarah’s saying anytime she has to speak for more than a sentence without a teleprompter?

Why doesn’t she just tattoo onto her palm her response to the “I can see Russia from my house” questions she inevitably gets?

  4. Listen and I’ll tell you something shocking. Do you believe that fathers are important in the lives of their kids? OK, Do you believe fathers are still important in the lives of their kids after their mMom divorces them?
Ok if you answered yes to these two questions I want to tell you the facts of Joe Bidens VAWA. Its the single most damaging piece of legislation that has come from this den of thieves in Congress.

VAWA gives Judges the right to pass out restraining orders against men like beads at Marti Gras. All is required is for the women to say the word “scared” and the man will be removed from the home and his kids for 1 year. No proof necessary. Only 10% of restraining orders are because of physical injuries. It has become the atomic omb in divorce cases. It costs thousands of dollars to lift a restraining order made from a false allegation and an average of, you guessed it, one year. By this time the kids are emotionally damaged and sometimes NEVER recoup their relationship with their Dad.

Biden has called this his biggest accomplishment. All fathers are not like Bidens or Obama’s. Most are loving parents that just want to love and protect their kids. I think their fathers have made them think that all other men are like the losers that fathered them.
    These are facts, not opinions.

  5. allllllrighty then.

  6. Why not question that the moderator, Gwen Ifill, of the upcoming Biden-Palin debate is pro-Obama. She wrote a book that praises Obama, obviously she will try her best to make Palin look bad in the debate Why couldn’t the moderator be more fair and bi-partisan?

Why not make fun of Joe Biden, who thinks FDR was President in 1929, and thinks paying more taxes is patriotic?
