T’PAU is a British Pop Group, led by singer Carol Decker, that hit One-Hit Wonder status with the 1987 single “Heart and Soul“, a song that reached #4 on the Billboard Top-40 Charts.
Though they had later success in England, “Heart and Soul” would be their only hit in the United States.
Eight of their singles charted in the Top-40 of the British Charts.
The band was named after “T’PAU” a Vulcan Goddess in the Star Trek Universe.
The group initially broke up in 1991 but reemerged in 1998 when lead singer Carol Decker started the group back up with new backing members.
The group released four studio albums between 1987 and 1998.
The group continues to perform live around the United Kingdom.
