Hall & Oates is an American Pop Duo that had a great deal of success in the late 1970′s and through much of the 1980′s.
The duo, comprised of Daryl Hall and John Oates, first met in Philadelphia in 1966.
Their first Album was released in 1972.
Their first success on the charts was in 1976 with the single “Sara Smile” which reached #4 on the Billboard Top-40 Charts.
That launched a long string of hit singles which included:
Sara Smile
She’s Gone
Rich Girl
Wait for Me
You’ve Lost that Lovin Feelin
Kiss on my List
You Make My Dreams
Private Eyes
I Can’t Go For That

Maneater
Family Man
One on One
Say it isn’t So
Adult Education
Method of Modern Love
Some Things are Better Left Unsaid
Everything Your Heart Desires
So Close
Out of Touch
and many others…..
The remake of “You’ve lost that loving feeling” was the only major hit actually sung by John Oates.
Twenty-Nine of their singles have reached the Top-40 of the Billboard Charts.
Six of their singles have gone to #1 on the Billboard Charts.
In 2003, the duo was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
To date, they have released 18 Studio Albums, 11 Live Albums, and 27 Compilation Albums over their career.
They are still together and still frequently tour the Country.

So, was the comment made during their “Will and Grace” appearance true, and they change to “Oates and Hall” after 25 years?
Another one of those great bands. (Duets? Duos? Whatever.) If memory serves, they were big proponents of both “We Are The World” and the Band-Aid movement. Great guys as well as great performers.

Huh. They switched facial hair.
Rich Girl has always been a favorite, it’s so fun to sing.
