Huey Lewis and the News is an American Rock Band based in San Francisco, CA.
The group was first formed in 1979.

Johnny Colla – Guitar, Saxophone
Mario Cipollina – Bass
Chris Hayes – Guitar

Seventeen of their singles have cracked the Top-40 of the Billboard Charts.
Three of their singles have reached #1 on the Billboard Charts.
The group has sold over 30 Million Albums worldwide.
The group has won Two Grammy Awards in their career.
The song “Power of Love“, featured in the film “Back to the Future“, was nominated for an Academy Award in 1986.
The group is still together and features original members Lewis, Colla, Gibson, and Hopper, along with some new backing members. The group released a new Studio Album in 2010 and they continue to tour, doing about 70 shows a year.
Loved these guys, but never got to see them in concert. And just how many versions of “Heart of Rock And Roll” did they release, just to make sure EVERY major or moderate city got named? I remember the brouhaha that went on in Chicago when we were “snubbed”! Jeez, people, it’s only a silly song!
