“It took God 6 days to create the Earth, and Monty Python just 90 minutes to screw it up”
I now know why my life turned out the way it did. It was obviously a tragic result of something that did NOT occur during the miracle of my childbirth….. Obviously, my cash-strapped parents were too cheap to pay for the machine that goes “BIIIIINNNGGGG”. If I was afforded the opportunity to be brought into this twisted world with the assistance of the machine that goes “BIIIIINNNNGGGG”…..maybe my life would have been totally different……for this, I blame my parents!
Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life was released in 1983. Great year 1983, that was the year that I graduated from High School.
I love ALL of the Monty Python movies and can watch all of them thousands of times and will still find them to be some of the funniest movies ever made. My wife does not get British Humor….so she thinks that the films were obviously made by drunken lunatics.
The film was co-directed by Python members Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones.
This is just flat-out one of the funniest movies I have seen. Some of the segments that the Python guys do are some of the best bits they have done.
I love the High School Sex Ed class where the Instructor is actually demonstrating live Sex (with his wife) to the students but all the students are bored silly and are not paying attention and are looking out the window etc……that is classic stuff!
Great flick if you need a good pick-me-up of laughs on a bad day!

One of my favorite quotes from the movie:
“Is it a boy or a girl?”
“I think it’s a bit early to start imposing roles on it, don’t you?”

You are a braver man than I, Gunga Dinn!

No-Hio – Yes, this was the most PRO-RELIGION and SECULAR movie ever made….. even more realistic and controversial than PASSION OF THE CHRIST…..

“Every sperm is sacred, every sperm is great!” Awesome movie. The Pythons are geniuses and, quite possibly, “drunken lunatics” as well.
Are you going to tempt the comment troll with “Life of Brian” next?

There is nothing I can possibly say that will make “The Meaning of Life” more meaningful…
Rock on, Idiot.

Oooh! You are asking for a beat down from whackadoodles all over aren’t you?!
Your next review should be passion of the christ, schindler’s list and the 10 commandments.

Mafia Princess – I think he would find Neo-Religious symbology in “Toy Story” and would be offended…..
