Sheena Easton is a Grammy Award winning Scottish singer and actress who had a great deal of success during the 1980′s.
She was born Sheena Orr in Bellshill, Scotland in 1959.
She married her first husband, Sandi Easton, in 1979. They soon divorced but Easton kept the surname and has used it throughout her career, despite three more subsequent marriages.
She first hit the charts in the US in 1980 with the singles “Modern Girl” and “Morning Train (9 to 5)”.
“Morning Train” would reach #1 on the Billboard Charts, her only hit to do so in the US.
She would go on to chart 15 singles onto the Billboard Top-40 Charts in her career.
Sheena Easton has won two Grammy Awards during her career, including the award for “Best New Artist” in 1981.
She is the only artist in the history of the Billboard Charts to have a top-5 hit on the five main charts: Pop, Adult Contemporary, R&B, Country, and Dance.
Her hits include:
Modern Girl
Morning Train (9 to 5)

She recieved an Academy Award nomination for “Best Song” for the hit “For Your Eyes Only“.
She is the only “Bond Girl” to actually sing a theme song on camera during the opening credits of a James Bond film.
As an actress, she is best known for a five episode stint on “Miami Vice” in which she appeared as the wife of Sonny Crockett, Don Johnson’s character on the series.
She had a number of hits with Pop Superstar Prince, and the two were rumored to be romantically involved, but Easton has always denied any relationship.
Now 52yrs old, she lives outside of Las Vegas and still frequently performs around the globe.

The director on “For Your Eyes Only” (the movie) wanted that “70mm lips” zoom in the opening credits, but Sheena couldn’t hold steady enough during the zoom process. So, much like early photos from the late 1800s, the prop guys rigged a brace up her back that held her head stiffly in place. Quite the pain in the neck, in ALL meanings!
She has also duet ted with Kenny Rogers.
All in all, Scotland’s greatest export!

I have always been such a “Sheena-fan”. Love her music and look soo much! It’s a shame she’s not still recording.
