Guns N’ Roses is American Rock Band first formed in Hollywood, California in 1985.
When the group was first formed, it derived it’s name from the names of band members Axl Rose and Tracii Guns. The original band only included Rose and guitarist Izzy Stradlin from what would become the classic lineup of the band.
The classic lineup of Guns N’Roses consisted of:
Axl Rose – Vocals
Slash – Lead Guitar
Izzy Stradlin – Guitar
Duff McKagan – Bass
Steven Adler – Drums
The groups debut 1987 album “Appetite for Destruction” remains the highest-selling debut album in US History.
The group has released 6 Studio Albums to date and has sold well over 100 Million albums worldwide.

“Sweet Child O Mine” was their top US Hit, hitting #1 on the Billboard Charts in 1988.
Their signature hit was “Welcome to the Jungle” which peaked at #7 on the charts. The song was also featured in the Clint Eastwood film “The Dead Pool“, with the band making a small cameo in the movie.
That song automatically plays the minute I open my son’s bedroom door…..
Starting in 1990, the original classic lineup of the band started to lose members resulting in Axl Rose being the only original member left in the band by 1995.

Dizzy Reed – keyboards, piano, percussion
Tommy Stinson – bass, backing vocals
Chris Pitman – keyboards, backing vocals
Richard Fortus – rhythm guitar
Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal – lead guitar

DJ Ashba – lead guitar
“Welcome to the jungle” – gotta be one of THE most used tunes for movies, TV shows, and video games in history!

Kinda sick of the older stuff, and kinda not too fond of the newer stuff. So, Slash with the guy from Wolfmother, Velvet Revolver, etc. are gonna have to do. You know where you are? Yes. I do.
