The Steve Miller Band is an American Rock/Blues band first formed in San Francisco in 1967.
The band was originally known as “The Steve Miller Blues Band“.
In the 44 year history of the band, the one constant has been vocalist and guitarist Steve Miller.
The band has had a virtual revolving door of musicians over the course of it’s career, with nearly 35 former members having been in the band at one time or another.
It’s former members include Singer Boz Scaggs and Bassist Ross Vallory (Journey).
To date, the group has released a total of 18 Studio Albums.

Oh lord – I actually remember first hearing of them as “The Steve Miller Blues Band”. Okay, you’ve officially made me feel ancient! :p

Oh my, I think my favorite song was Fly Like an Eagle. I was able to see the band in concert when I lived in Kansas City back in the late 70s and early 80s. Did see here recently that the band came through the Central Coast but I did not get to attend the concert.
