Another of my favorite easy-listening artists.
Dan Fogelberg was an American Singer,Songwriter, Composer, and Musicican, popular during the late 1970′s and early 1980′s.
His music incorporated elements of Folk, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Classical, and Bluegrass.
He started his music career in Illinois in the early 1970′s.
He released his debut album in 1972.
Dan Fogelberg would go on to release 14 Studio Albums during his career.

His top single was “Longer” which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Charts in 1980.
A lifelong activist, Fogelberg used his music to address issues involving Peace, The Environment, and Native American causes.
Dan Fogelberg passed away from Cancer in 2007. He was 56 years old.

Semi-local boy makes good! (Peoria, a ways away from where I lived, if I recall correctly.) “Another Auld Lang Syne” was always my favourite of his.

I loved his music – my college years. Another Auld Lang Syne was and is one of my favorites, too. My all time favorite is “Leader of the Band”, about his father.

…and Same Old Lang Syne is about to be pounded into the head of anyone who goes to a mall this holiday season. Still a great song though.
Dan Fogelberg was also once described as the poster boy for the Martin D14 guitar, for the way he matched his tone to its.
