Joni Mitchell is a Canadian Singer, Songwriter, Musician, and Artist who was one of the most influential artists in music during the late 1960′s and much of the 1970′s.
Joni Mitchell moved from Canada to the US in the mid 1960′s and recorded her debut album in 1968.
Her 1971 Album “Blue” has been called one of the best albums in music history.
Her musical style incorporates elements of Folk, Rock, Pop, Classical, Jazz, and R&B.
Rolling Stone Magazine describes her as one of the greatest Songwriters ever.
She has received 8 Grammy Awards during her career.
She has also received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
A lifelong artist, she designed much of the album art used on her albums during her career.
She self-produced most her albums.
She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
In 2002, she was appointed a Companion of the Order of Canada, that Nation’s highest civilian honor.
She has released 19 Studio Albums over the course of her career.
