Music Flashback: Kim Carnes

Another underappreciated singer who’s music I have always enjoyed.

Kim Carnes is an American Singer and Songwriter.

Her first album was released in 1972.

Her first hit would not come until 1980 with “Don’t fall in love with a Dreamer“, a duet with Country Star Kenny Rogers.

She was launched to stardom by her 1981 signature hit “Bette Davis Eyes“.

Bette Davis Eyes” would earn Kim Carnes Two Grammy Awards.

The song was the #1 hit of 1981 and would go on to be the #2 hit of the entire 1980′s according to Billboard Magazine.

Kim Carnes has released 13 Studio Albums thus far in her career.

Her hits have included:

She released her most recent album in 2004.

Now 66yrs old, she lives in Nashville and still frequently tours the globe.
